Commercial Roof Replacement

If your commercial roof needs replacing, there are three main things to consider: durability, energy efficiency and cost. The lifespan of a commercial roof can be up to 50 years if they've been installed correctly and receive proper maintenance.

Depending on your chosen roofing material, your roof can be energy efficient. For example, options like rubber roofs are low-cost, energy-efficient and also durable.

The best roofing material for your property will vary depending on many factors, and we will work with you to identify the best option for you.

Commercial Roof Maintenace and Inspection

Proper roof maintenance is what makes the difference between a roof that lasts ten years and one that lasts decades longer. Your commercial roof will have a much longer life span when it is properly maintained.

A roof inspection can pinpoint areas of roof damage that may eventually lead to higher costs in the future. Commercial property owners and managers should conduct regular inspections of their roofs at least every two years to maintain optimum performance and lifespan of the structure.

If you identify any issues, or need a professional to ensure the inspection is carried out properly, call in the experts straight away.

Commercial Roof Types & Options

  • Metal roofs. These are panels or shingles made of metal materials, such as steel, aluminum, copper, or zinc. They offer strength, longevity, and aesthetics, but they can be noisy, prone to corrosion, and expensive12.

  • Built-up roofs (BUR). These are layers of asphalt or coal tar mixed with rubber or plastic modifiers that are applied hot or cold to the roof surface. They provide durability, waterproofing, and insulation, but they can be heavy and require more maintenance.

  • Single-ply membranes. These are flexible sheets of synthetic rubber or plastic that are attached to the roof deck with fasteners or adhesives. They offer good resistance to weather, fire, and chemicals, and can reflect heat and UV rays. (TPO, EPDM, PVC.)

  • Modified bitumen roofs. These are similar to built-up roofs, but they have five layers of materials that provide extra protection and performance. They can be applied using torches, hot asphalt, or cold adhesives.

  • Spray-on silicon roofs. These are roofs that have a liquid coating of silicon that is sprayed on the existing roof surface. They offer seamless waterproofing, UV protection, and durability.

  • Asphalt shingles roofs. These are roofs that have overlapping pieces of asphalt material that are nailed or stapled to the roof deck. They offer low cost, easy installation, and variety of colors and styles.
